Penggunaannya:

Noun + Verb + the same as + Noun

Our dining table is the same as our previous dining table.

like, alike, and similar to

Like, alike, dan similar to digunakan untuk menunjukkan bahwa 2 hal atau lebih memiliki kualitas atau karakter yang sama, dan tidak harus mirip 100%.

Penggunaan:

Noun + Verb + like + Noun

This curtain is like the other one.

(Sama warna tapi beda model)

 

Noun + Verb + similar to + Noun

This curtain is similar to the other one.

(Bisa juga, sama model tetapi beda warna)

Noun + Noun + Verb + alike (adjective)

As babies, the twins were so alike.

(alike sebagai adjective menjelaskan Noun)

 

Noun + Verb + alike (adverb)

The twins even dress alike.

Alike sebagai adverb berarti dengan cara yang sama, seperti pada contoh dibawah ini:

(alike sebagai adverb menjelaskan Verb)
